Writing Class: Telling Your Own Story
September 14, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm
Many genealogists neglect telling their own stories while in the midst of telling stories about others. Writing one’s life story is an opportunity for people to relive those wonderful moments in their lives, to record those special memories, and to share the crooked paths their lives have taken.
The Genealogy Society is offering two writing classes this fall: Level one for beginners and Level Two for those continuing to write their memoirs. Each ten-week class meets on Mondays for two hours. Shawn Feisst, a certified Guided Autobiography Instructor, will facilitate the class and help brainstorm ideas around different themes. You will write a short 2-page memoir each week and share it with a small group.
Save the dates. Each Monday – September 14 through November 16th.
Level One Class: 10:00 to 12:00
Level Two Class: 12:30 to 2:30
Place: Library Learning Center, Room 14 (3368 Eureka Place, Carlsbad)
Registration Deadline: September 7th
