The DNA Interest Group is a special interest group of NSDCGS designed to educate and inform people about the use of DNA testing for genealogical purposes through lectures on DNA followed by small group breakout discussions and individualized help with DNA results. Open to all levels of computer/genealogy experience.

You may discover a need to use third-party DNA tools to better understand your results and further your genealogy research. We will discuss how to get the most out of the site you tested with, various third-party tools, and how to select the right tool for the job. Included: how to download your raw DNA results and the benefits of adding GEDcoms to those sites.
Sara is a full-time professional genealogist with thirty years of research experience. Her research has taken her into nearly every State in the USA and Ireland. She especially enjoys breaking down brick walls for her clients, discovering the stories of black sheep ancestors, and helping individuals preserve their photographic legacy.
Sara holds a Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate, a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, and is an alumnus of the ProGen Study Group.
