Most of our programs and classes meet once a month (except in December). All are free to the public and in-person attendance requires no registration. Most are hybrid and registration on Zoom is required.

DNA Interest Group (DIG)
The DNA Interest Group Meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month (except December). It is a special interest group of NSDCGS designed to educate and inform people about the use of DNA testing for genealogical purposes through lectures on DNA followed by small group breakout discussions and individualized help with DNA results. Memoir Writing Class
A 10-week course based on the Guided Autobiography method. The classes provide encouragement and direction to those writing their personal stories. Classes will be held in person only. For more information go here.
Beginning/Refresher Genealogy Class
Presented by NSDCGS in partnership with the Carlsbad City Library, students cover the essentials of genealogy research. These classes are great for beginners or those looking for a refresher on the fundamentals. For more information go here.
